Learn About Our Mission

About Our Organization

Ssenyange Hilfsprojekt Uganda (SHPU) was established in 2015 at Ssenyange Village, a suburb of Masaka City in Uganda, by Lubowa Mugagga after surviving water-borne illnesses. SHPU is a community-based organization disrupting poverty and health inequity in Masaka.

With deep roots in social work and social entrepreneurship, we transform organic market waste into poultry feed (ento-Feed) and fertilizer, creating revenue to fund a sustainable MedicalFund. Our mission bridges economic viability with community welfare. We are now scaling our pilot from two to 10 acres to provide orthopedic care, housing, and vocational training to 45 marginalized individuals. We are not just farming; we are building a robust, replicable engine for systemic, regional change.

Our Circular Enterprise Model

♻️ Waste Transformation

Collecting organic market waste and processing it into organic nutrient-rich fertilizer and eco-friendly poultry feed (ento-Feed).

🏥 MedicalFund Revenue

Using the commercial revenue generated by our poultry and coffee operations to finance sustainable healthcare programs locally.
